The world-class Nordic Center at Snow Mountain Ranch offers miles upon miles of trails for all ability levels and ages. If you’d like to go Nordic skiing or snowshoeing, we have 82.5 km groomed track & trail, 40 Km pet-friendly trails (Both Nordic and Snowshoe trails).
For those interested in learnings, one-hour group lesson are available at 11am and 2:30pm. Max 6 people/group. One-hour private lessons are available at 9:30am and 1pm. 1 household or 3 individuals. Rental equipment available. You can purchase a day pass. Located approximately 15 minutes West of Winter Park. For more information, please call our Programs Department at 970-887-2152 ext. 4135.
DEVILS’S THUMB RANCH
With nearly 120km of trails nestled in the pristine and private Ranch Creek valley at the base of the Continental Divide, we’re the premier Nordic center for Colorado and North American cross country skiing. In fact, we were named#1 Cross-Country Ski Resort in North American the 2018 and 2019 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards! Whether you enjoy skate, classic or snowshoeing; there are exhilarating experiences waiting to happen.
Novices can start the day with a private or group lesson from one of our friendly instructors. And, of course, a wide variety of quality cross country ski equipment is available for purchase or rental – including child sleds and skijoring rigs. Dogs on leashes are welcome on our dog-friendly trails. Our Nordic Center and ski trails are open daily during ski season. With a daily trail pass, you pay one rental fee that allows for skiing and snowshoeing that day.
